About the Department
The Department of Sociology was established in 1995 offering the undergraduate program in the field of Sociology.This course intends to provide valuable insights into the understanding of a wide range of social issues both at the conceptual and theoretical levels. Moreover, it facilitates sociology students to play a critical role in promoting social changes, equality, justice contributing to harmonious resolve and the overall betterment of society. The department engages the staff and students in field activities to understand the prevailing social phenomena. With regard to facilities, the department has well-equipped classrooms and a library with relevant books on sociological literature. In addition, department has organized seminars, workshops, and guest lectures to foster academic growth and promote discussions on sociological topics.
